This Refund Policy governs all transactions between DTK Cyber Academy (academy.dtk.lk) and its students, customers, and users. By enrolling in a course or purchasing any service, you agree to the terms below.

 

 

 

1. General Policy

 

  • All fees paid to DTK Cyber Academy are strictly non-refundable.

  • Refunds, cancellations, or exchanges will not be provided under any circumstances, including but not limited to:

    • Change of mind after purchase.

    • Non-attendance or withdrawal from a course.

    • Personal scheduling conflicts.

    • Dissatisfaction with course content, teaching style, or outcomes.

 

2. Eligibility for Refunds (Exceptional Circumstances)

 

Refunds will only be considered in the following rare and exceptional cases:

 

 

  1. Duplicate Payment – If you are accidentally charged twice for the same transaction.

  2. Technical Failure – If a proven technical error on our platform prevents you from accessing a purchased course and we cannot restore access within 7 working days.

  3. Legal Obligation – If required by Sri Lankan consumer protection law, DTK Cyber Academy will comply strictly with the minimum remedy required (e.g., replacement service, not necessarily cash refund).

 
Note: Refunds will not be issued for dissatisfaction, unmet expectations, or inability to achieve certification or employment outcomes.

 

3. Refund Request Procedure

 

If you believe you qualify for a refund under the exceptions above:

 

  • Submit a written request to [email protected] within 7 days of the payment date.

  • Include your full name, email, payment receipt, and reason for the request.

  • Requests will be reviewed within 14 business days.

  • Approved refunds (if any) will be processed via the original payment method only.

 
 

4. Non-Refundable Items

 

The following items are explicitly non-refundable:

 

  • Course fees, subscriptions, and installment payments.

  • Registration, administration, or processing fees.

  • Digital materials, downloadable resources, and certificates.

  • Promotional offers, discounts, and bundled packages.

 

5. Transfer, Substitution & Credit Policy

 

  • Course enrollments are non-transferable to other individuals.

  • Credits toward future courses will not be offered as an alternative to refunds.

  • Substituting courses after purchase is not permitted.

 

6. Changes & Cancellations by DTK Cyber Academy

 

  • DTK Cyber Academy reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify courses.

  • In the event of cancellation by us, students may be offered:

    1. Transfer to another course of equal value, or

    2. Extended access to digital materials, or

    3. Refund of fees (only if mandated by law).

  • Our liability is strictly limited to the amount paid for the cancelled service.

 

7. Disclaimer of Guarantees

 

  • We do not guarantee that completion of a course will result in passing external certification exams, job placements, or career advancement.

  • No refunds will be issued based on unmet expectations or perceived outcomes.

 

8. Governing Law

 

  • This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of the DEMOCRATIC SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF SRI LANKA, including the Consumer Affairs Authority Act.

  • Any disputes will be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
