These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of DTK Cyber Academy (“we,” “our,” “us”) and its platform academy.dtk.lk, including all online courses, labs, digital content, and related services. By enrolling, accessing, or using our services, you agree to these Terms in full.

1. Acceptance of Terms

• By using DTK Cyber Academy’s platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

• If you do not agree, you must not access or use our services.

2. Eligibility

• Users must be at least 16 years of age.

• If under 18, parental/guardian consent is required.

• You represent that all registration information provided is true, accurate, and up to date.

3. Accounts & Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

• You agree not to share, transfer, or sell your account.

• You are responsible for all activities conducted through your account.

4. Payments & Refunds

• All fees must be paid in full prior to gaining course access unless otherwise agreed.

• Payments are processed through secure third-party gateways.

• All sales are final and strictly non-refundable (see Refund Policy).

5. Course Access & Delivery

• Courses may be delivered via live classes, recorded content, and labs.

• We reserve the right to change instructors, schedules, or course content without prior notice.

• Course access is personal and non-transferable.

6. Certificates

• Certificates of completion may be issued upon successful completion of a course.

• Certificates may be publicly accessible via verification links.

• Recognition of certificates by employers or institutions is not guaranteed.

7. Intellectual Property

• All content, including course materials, labs, videos, documents, logos, and branding, remain the exclusive property of DTK Cyber Academy.

• You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access materials for personal learning.

• Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or resale is prohibited.

8. Use of Labs, Servers & Devices

DTK Cyber Academy may provide access to virtual labs, servers, simulators, or physical devices (such as firewalls, routers, or cybersecurity appliances) for training.

1. Permitted Use

   • Labs are for educational purposes only.

   • Any misuse, including hacking outside permitted environments, is prohibited.

2. Device Security

   • Students must not attempt to damage, tamper with, or gain unauthorized access to DTK Cyber Academy’s servers, firewalls, or other devices.

   • Any malicious activity may result in immediate termination of access and potential legal action.

3. Data Security

   • Users must not upload or run illegal, harmful, or malicious code on academy-provided labs.

   • Users are responsible for ensuring their own local device security (antivirus, VPNs, secure passwords).

4. Monitoring

   • DTK Cyber Academy reserves the right to monitor lab activities to ensure compliance and maintain security.

5. Liability Disclaimer

   • DTK Cyber Academy is not liable for damage to a user’s personal device, data loss, or security breach resulting from lab use.

   • Access to physical or virtual devices is provided “as is,” without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free service.

9. User Conduct

Users agree not to:

• Share, resell, or publicly distribute course content.

• Use DTK Cyber Academy resources for illegal or unethical activities.

• Attempt to bypass system security, access other users’ accounts, or exploit vulnerabilities.

• Harass instructors, staff, or other students.

10. Security & Compliance

• DTK Cyber Academy follows industry practices to maintain the integrity of servers, labs, and devices.

• However, users understand that cybersecurity training inherently involves exposure to simulated exploits and vulnerabilities, and therefore:

  • Labs are isolated and monitored for safety.

  • Users must only perform activities authorized in training modules.

  • DTK Cyber Academy disclaims liability for misuse of learned techniques outside the lab environment.

11. Limitation of Liability

• DTK Cyber Academy makes no guarantees of certification success, job placement, or career outcomes.

• To the maximum extent permitted by Sri Lankan law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • Our liability, if required, shall be limited to the course fees paid for the service in question.

12. Suspension & Termination

• Accounts may be suspended or terminated without notice if a user violates these Terms.

• Misuse of labs, servers, or devices will result in immediate revocation of access without refund.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

• These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.

• Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

14. Changes to Terms

• DTK Cyber Academy may update these Terms from time to time.

• Updates will be published on academy.dtk.lk with a new “Last Updated” date.

• Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
